Tolumnia prionochila is a species of Tolumnia.


Plant blooms in the spring with a three to eight 3 cm wide flowers. Plant has long inflorescence.


Plant is found in the forest of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands at elevations of 0 to 200 meters


Grow plants in intermediate to warm temperatures in partial shade to bright light. Water plant when mix drys. During the winter give plants a slight dryout between waterings. Water approximately once a week. Pot plants in a well drain medium of medium fir bark and perlite.
