Telipogon latifolius is an epiphytic orchid in the genus Telipogon.
Plant blooms from summer to fall with 2 to 3 flowers. Flowers are 3.2cm wide.
Plant is found on vines and twigs in the damp mossy cloud forest of Venezuela, central Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 1800 to 2800 meters
Plants are difficult to grow in cultivation because of their difficulty in establishment. They require shade and cool to intermediate temperatures depending on the species. Plants require high air circulation to prevent fungal rot and constant misting. Water twice a week during the winter and heavily mist during the summer. Plants can be grown in sphagnum moss but are usually mounted. When mounting keep the plant loose on the slab as they do not like their roots bounded. Keep humidity high. Species dies back after flowering and takes a rest until the next growing season. So do not toss out the plant until you are certain it is dead.
