Tainia penangiana is a species in the genus Tainia.


Plant blooms in the winter with five to fifteen 2 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant.


Plant is found growing in Assam India, eastern Himalayas, Thailand, Malaysia, China and Vietnam


Plants require shade and warm temperature requirements. Plants should be potted in a mix that retain some moisture such as gravel. Medium should be kept moist during growing season. Repotting should be done after flowering.
