Stanhopea platyceras is a Stanhopea species endemic to Peru


Plant is found in Colombia at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters


Plants bloom in the fall with two 15 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant


Plant should be grown in shade. Keep in cool to warm temperatures and water regularly. Pot in medium fir bark or sphagnum moss. Keep humidity high. Plants are usually grown in baskets.
