Stanhopea grandiflora is a Stanhopea species found in South America.


Plant is found in forest trees of Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, French Guyana, Surinam, Brazil and Trinidad at elevations of 100 to 1000 meters.


Plant blooms from spring to fall with up to two 15 cm flowers. Flowers are fragrant and short lived.


Plant should be grown in shade. Keep in cool to warm temperatures and water regularly. Pot in medium fir bark or sphagnum moss. Keep humidity high. Plants are usually grown in baskets.
