Sophronitis cernua is a plant in the genus Sophronitis.


Plant bloom in the spring with four to ten 2.2 to 2.7 cm wide flowers.


Plant is found growing on rocky slopes and trees near the sea in Espiritu Santo south to Sao Paulo state of Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay at elevations around 0 meters.


Plants should be grown in medium fir bark with partial to full sun. Plant is a intermediate to warm growing orchid species. Water approximately once a week. Plant can also be mounted.
