Sophronitis caulescens is a plant in the genus Sophronitis.


Plant bloom from spring to summer in the northern hemisphere and summer to fall in the southern hemisphere with two to five 3.75 cm wide flowers.


Plant is found growing in exposed rocky cliffs with grasses in Minas Gerais, Brazil at elevations of 600 to 1200 meters. Plants are usually found growing in groups.


Plants should be grown in medium fir bark with partial to full sun. Plant is a cool to intermediate growing orchid species. Water approximately once a week. Plant can also be mounted.
