Solenidiopsis is a genus that consist of 5 species. It is abbreviated as Sdps. in horticultural trade.


The genus is distributed through Ecuador and Peru.


Plants are found growing as epiphytes and they bloom on a erect stem with few flowers.


Grow in intermediate to warm conditions with moderate light. Water the plant regularly, do not let potting medium dry out. Plants should be potted in a well drain medium such as medium fir bark or sphagnum moss.


The genus is named after its similarities to the genus Solenidium
