Schlimmia trifida is an orchid species found in Central America.


Plants are found in Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 1200 to 1350 meters


Plant blooms from summer to fall with several 1.5 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant.


Plants are usually grown in wooden baskets in partial shade. Use a well drain potting media such as medium fir bark with perlite, tree fern fibers, or sphagnum moss. Keep area humid and grow in cool to intermediate temperatures. Keep mix moist but not dry.
