Rhynchostele is a small genus of the orchid family.


Plants are found in the cool forest from Mexico through north western Venezuela.


Plants in this genus are epiphytes which have short creeping rhizomes and erect pendant flowers.


Grow in cool to intermediate conditions with moderate light. Water the plant right before the potting mix starts to dry. Plants should be potted in a well drain medium such as medium fir bark.


The genus is named after its extended beak-like rostellum
