Restrepia brachypus is an epiphytic orchid in the genus Restrepia.


Plants bloom from winter to spring with one to two 6 cm long flowers. Flowers are fragrant in the variety floribunda.


Plants are found in the wet forest of Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Colombia at elevations of 1180 to 3200 meters


Grow in cool to intermediate temperatures. Can be grown potted in sphagnum moss or mounted on wood. The medium it is grown in should be kept moist.
