Quekettia abbreviated as Qu. in horticultural trade, is a genus of around five species.


Plants are found in Northern South America south to Brazil.


Plants in this genus are twig epiphytes with wiry roots and small pseudobulbs.


Grow in intermediate to warm conditions with moderate to bright light. Water the plant right before the potting mix starts to dry. Plants should be potted in a well drain medium such as tree fern fibers. Plants prefer to be mounted. Give good air circulation.


The plant is named after botanist Edwin John Quekett
