Prosthechea ochracea is an epiphytic orchid from the genus Prosthechea


Plants bloom from spring to summer with six to twelve 2 cm wide flowers.


Plant is found in Mexico south to Panama at elevations of 500 to 3500 meters


Plants grow in cool to warm conditions and can be grown in medium size fir bark with perlite. Plant prefers drying periods between watering and bright light is recommended. Lengthen drying period a bit in the winter.
