Prosthechea garciana is an epiphytic orchid from the genus Prosthechea


Plant bloom from late spring to fall with a single 2 cm wide flower. Flower is fragrant when sunlight is present and last up to six months.


Plants are found growing in the cloud forest of Venezuela at elevations around 1200 meters


Plants grow in cool to intermediate conditions and can be grown in medium size fir bark with perlite. Plant prefers drying periods between watering and bright light is recommended. Lengthen drying period a bit in the winter.
