Porroglossum tripollex is an epiphytic orchid in the genus Porroglossum.


A miniature plant with leaves bearing a reticulated pattern when newly formed that fades at maturity. Plant blooms with several 1 cm wide successive flowers.


Found in Ecuador


Grow in cool to intermediate temperatures. Can be grown potted in sphagnum moss or mounted on wood. The medium it is grown in should be kept moist.


Common Name:The Three Thumbed Porroglossum

From the Latin "tri" meaning three and "pollex" meaning thumbs in allusion to the stuby skin collored sepaline tails.
