Pecteilis abbreviated as Pctls. in horticultural trade, commonly called bog orchids, are a far ranging genus of orchid, one of approximately 800 described Orchidaceae genera within that large and diverse family.


Plants are distributed from Southeast Asia to Japan.


Plants have a characteristic sessile, 2-lobed, stigma.


Keep plants in moderately bright light. During the summer keep the plant in warm temperatures and high humidity. Water the plant regularly. During the winter reduce watering and keep in intermediate conditions as the plant goes dormant, until the spring. Plant should be potted in bark, charcoal, and perlite.
