Paphiopedilum wardii is a species of Paphiopedilum


Plant blooms from winter to spring with a single 9 cm wide flower.


Plants are found growing on the forest floor in leaf litter near tree trunks and on moss covered cliffs of Northern Burma and Yunnan China at elevations of 1200 to 1500 meters. The area has drizzles from winter to spring and heavy rains in the fall and summer.


Keep plants in moderate to shady lighting with humidity at 60 to 80% with an cool to intermediate temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite. To induce blooming, reduce watering for four weeks.
