Paphiopedilum thaianum is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.

Plant blooms in the spring with one to two 5 cm wide flowers.

Plants are found growing on limestone cliffs and in humus in the forest of Thailand at elevations of 350 to 450 meters. The area is subjected to cool winters and springs with drizzles and heavy rain during the summer and fall.

Plant should be grown in areas with bright light and cool to warm temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite. Species can tolerate many different potting mediums. Water regularly about every four to five days. Reduce watering during the winter to induce blooming. Growth can be encouraged by keeping the plant in a warm area.
