Paphiopedilum stonei is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.

DescriptionEdit

Plant blooms in the summer with up to six flowers which are up to 20 cm wide.

DistributionEdit

Plants are found growing on limestone or on trees usually covered in moss in Sarawak and Borneo at 61 to 820 meters. The area is warm and rainy in the winter, from summer to fall there is heavy rain and spring is the hottest season in the area. Humidity in the area is high and the area is rarely dry.

CultureEdit

Plant should be grown in areas with moderate to bright light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite. Water regularly about every four to five days. To induce flowering lower the temperature at night and reduce watering in the spring. Roots on plant grow very slowly.
