Paphiopedilum primulinum is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.


Plant blooms in the spring with two 4.2 cm wide flowers.


Plants are found growing in humus topsoil in Sumatra and Indonesia at elevations of 0 to 520 meters. The area is subjected to frequent rains in the summer and fall. From winter to spring there are heavy rains.


Plant should be grown in areas with moderately bright light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite. Species can tolerate many different potting mediums. Water regularly about every four to five days.


Paphiopedilum primulinum var purpurascens Paphiopedilum primulinum var. purpurascens Lip is pink, sepals are green, petals are green with pink lines and spots.
