Plant blooms in the spring with a single 7.5 cm wide flower.
Distribution[]
Plants are found growing in decomposing magma in Surigao del Sur, Siargao, and Dinagat Islands of the Philippines at elevations of 300 to 800 meters. The area is subjected to heavy rains during the rainy season.
Culture[]
Plant should be grown in areas with moderate to bright light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite or sphagnum moss. Water regularly about every four to five days. To induce blooming lower temperatures in the winter.
