Paphiopedilum barbigerum is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.


Plant blooms in the fall with a single 6.5 cm wide flower.


Plants are found growing on limestone cliffs in Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi provinces of China at elevations of 300 to 760 meters. The area is subjected to heavy fog in the winter and spring. In the summer to fall the area has heavy rains.


Plant should be grown in areas with moderate light and intermediate temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite. Water regularly about every four to five days. To induce blooming restrict watering and lower temperatures for a week in the winter.
