Paphinia rugosa is a species from the genus Paphinia.


Plants are found growing in the wet montane forest of Colombia.


Plants bloom in the winter with several 6 to 7.5 cm fragrant flowers.


Plants are usually grown in wooden baskets in partial shade. Use a well drain potting media such as medium fir bark with perlite, tree fern fibers, or sphagnum moss. Keep area humid and grow in warm to hot temperatures. Keep mix moist but not dry. Reduce watering in the winter
