Plant is found growing in grass fields and woodland edges in Great Britain, Portugal, Spain, the Balaeric Islands, France, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Yugoslavia, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco at elevations up to 1600 meters

DescriptionEdit

Plant blooms in the spring with many 3 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant.

CultureEdit

Plants prefer well-drained low-fertility soils and areas with partial shade. This species is cool to intermediate growing. Water regularly. Divide plant when flower fades.
