Mexicoa ghiesbrechtiana is an epiphytic orchid from South America. It use to be called Oncidium ghiesbrechtiana, But was moved to its own genus by Garay in 1974 Because of its different floral properties.
Plant blooms from spring to fall with three to six 4 cm wide flowers.
Plants are found growing in the oak forest of Jalisco, Michoacan, Guerrero, Mexico and Oaxaca states of Mexico at elevations around 1400 to 2300 meters
Grow plant in cold to warm temperatures and with moderate light.
