Maxillaria lankesteri is a species in the Maxillaria genus.
Description[]
Plant blooms in the fall with a 2.5 cm wide flower. Flowers are fragrant with a musky scent.
Distribution[]
Plant is found in the montane forest of Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 600 to 1500 meters
Culture[]
Plant can be grown in a fine bark medium, full sphagnum moss, or mounted on treefern or cork. Grow in warm conditions with medium amounts of light. Water regularly and keep mix moist but not wet. Plant require semi-dry rest through the winter month.
