Maxillaria costaricensis is a species in the Maxillaria genus.
Plant blooms from winter to spring with a single 3.75 cm wide flower.
Plant is similar to Maxillaria variabilis but differs by having narrow leaves and curled petals.
Plant is found in the cloud forest of Costa Rica at elevations of 500 to 1600 meters
Plant can be grown in a fine bark medium, full sphagnum moss, or mounted on treefern or cork. Grow in warm to hot conditions with medium amounts of light. Water regularly and keep mix moist but not wet. Plant require semi-dry rest through the winter month.
