Masdevallia nidifica is a species in the Masdevallia genus.


Plant blooms during winter and summer with a single 4 cm wide flower.


Plant is found growing on brances in the lower montane forest from Costa Rica to Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 450 to 2500 meters


Keep plant in partial shade. Plant can be grown in cool to warm conditions. Pot the plant in fine bark with perlite or sphagnum moss. Water regularly and keep potting media moist. Plant can also be mounted


Masdevallia nidifica ventricosa Masdevallia nidifica var ventricosa Sepals are translucent yellow. Lip is yellow.
