Masdevallia coccinea is a species in the Masdevallia genus.


Plant blooms in the spring with a single 7.5 cm wide flower.


Plant is found growing on the side of rocky cliffs in Colombia and Peru at elevations of 2400 to 2800 meters


Keep plant in partial shade. Plant can be grown in cool conditions. Pot the plant in fine bark with perlite or sphagnum moss. Water regularly and keep potting media moist.
