Masdevallia civilis is a species in the Masdevallia genus.


Plant blooms from spring to summer with a single 4 cm wide fragrant flower.


Plant is found growing on grassy and rocky slopes exposed to full sun in the cloud forest of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 2000 to 3000 meters


Keep plant in partial shade. Plant can be grown in cool conditions. Pot the plant in fine bark with perlite or sphagnum moss. Water regularly and keep potting media moist.
