Helcia sanguinolenta is an epiphytic orchid from the genus Helcia.


Plants bloom from winter to spring with a single 7.7 cm wide flower. Flowers are fragrant


Plants are found growing in Ecuador, Peru and Colombia at elevations of 600 to 3000 meters


Grow in cool to warm conditions with moderate light. Water the plant regularly, do not let potting medium dry out. Plants should be potted in a well drain medium such as medium fir bark or sphagnum moss.
