Gastrochilus sororius is an species in the genus Gastrochilus.
Plant blooms in the fall with 1.4 cm wide flowers.
Plants are found growing in the lower montane forest of Borneo, Java, Sumatra and Sulawesi at elevations below 1550 meters
Plants are best grown hanged in baskets and on mounted and usually require moderate shade and warm temperatures. Water frequently during growing season and reduce watering after flowering. If hunged the roots must be watered frequently. Plants should be grown in media that is well drained such as tree fern fibers (for small plants), medium fir bark, or sphagnum moss.
