Frondaria caulescens is an epiphytic orchid in the genus Frondaria.


Plant blooms at any season with several 8 mm wide flowers.

It is unique because of its leaflike sheaths of the ramicauls.


Plant is found growing in the montane forest of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia at elevations of 1300 to 3200 meters


Keep plant in partial shade. Plant can be grown in cool to intermediate conditions with high air circulation. Pot the plant in tree fern bark or mount. Water regularly and keep potting media moist. Plants are difficult to maintain.
