Vanda Bangkok Blue is a Vanda hybrid. Plant blooms in the winter.

Culture[]

Plants are best grown hung in baskets or mounted and require bright to full sunlight and cool to intermediate temperatures. If hung the roots must be watered frequently. Plants should be grown in media that is well draining such as tree fern fibers (for small plants), several pieces of coarse fir bark, or sphagnum moss.

    Vanda Bangkok Blue. Purchased from Ritter-Tropic 1 Orchid Nurseries in Kissimmee, FL. V. Bangkok Blue: Note that the flowers appear bluer under certain conditions including when under lights with higher blue wavelengths (cloudy days). Flowers also appear bluer in photos than in person.
