On an early trip to New York and overwhelmed by the intensity of Paul Gaugin's Two Tahitian Women at the Museum of Modern Art, I beat a path back to Australia and proceeded to see if I could get anywhere near the great painting by making a knockoff. Homage to Gaugin. Heaven forbid!  Now, with the magic of internet and Apple Mac I can scan the work and collage my orchid art into the picture for a bit of a lark. That'a a Maxillaria tenufolia orchid with the ladies. Smells like coconut.
