Stenoglottis longifolia is a plant of the family Orchidaceae and the genus Stenoglottis

Distribution

Plant is found on humus and rock out crops in Natal and Zululand, South Africa at elevations of 0 to 1300 meters.

Description

Plant blooms from summer to fall with several 1.2 cm wide flowers.

Culture

Plants require cool to intermediate temperatures and diffused bright light. Pot in a well drain terrestrial medium of gravel, sand, soil, perlite, and bark. Water the plant regular during spring and summer. Reduce watering in the winter as plants are dormant and begin watering regularly again as new shoots appear in the spring.
