Stanhopea candida is found from in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. Plant is found growing in wet montane forest growing on limbs of trees in the canopy at 100 to 600 meters in elevation.
Description[]
Plant blooms from winter to spring with one to five 7cm fragrant flowers.
Culture[]
Plant should be grown in shade. Keep in intermediate to warm temperatures and water regularly. Pot in medium fir bark or sphagnum moss. Keep humidity high. Plants are usually grown in baskets.
