Rossioglossum grande is an epiphytic orchid from the genus Rossioglossum.
Description[]
Plants bloom from fall to winter with several 15 cm wide flower.The plant may grow four to eight flowers, each may reach up to 13 inches in diameter. The flowers are a glossy bright golden yellow with brown barring. Larger petals are yellow with the lower half red-brown. The lip is white and sometimes flecked with red-brown. The pseudobulbs carry a gray-green color to them, and grow from 4 to 10 cm, each with two leaves.
Distribution[]
Plants are found in the rainforest of Guatemala and Mexico at elevations of 1400 to 2700 meters.
Culture[]
Grow plants in cool to intermediate temperatures in partial shade to bright light. Water plant when mix drys. During the winter give plants a slight dryout between waterings. Water approximately once a week. Pot with medium fir bark.
