Paraphalaenopsis serpentilingua is an species in the genus Paraphalaenopsis.

Description[]

Plant blooms in the spring with up to seven 2.5 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant.

Distribution[]

Plants are found growing in the mangrove forest in Borneo at elevations below 1000 meters.

Culture[]

Plants are best grown in hanging baskets or mounted, and usually require full sunlight and intermediate to warm temperatures. If in baskets or mounted on cork, the roots must be watered frequently and if it is potted in bark they should be watered 1 to 2 times a week. Plants should be grown in media that is kept moist, but not wet, such as several pieces of medium to coarse fir bark, or sphagnum moss. Keep plants in an area with high humidity.
