Paphiopedilum gratrixianum is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.

Description[]

Plant blooms in the spring with a single 8 cm wide flower.

Distribution[]

Plants are found growing on mossy granite in the cloud forest from Pak Song, Laos through northern Vietnam at elevations of 910 to 1900 meters. The area is subjected to high humidity and drizzles in the winter and heavy rains in the summer. Spring is the hottest month.

Culture[]

Plant should be grown in areas with moderately bright light and intermediate temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite. Water regularly about every four to five days. To induce blooming reduce watering and lower temperatures in the early winter for four to six weeks.
