Paphiopedilum dianthum is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.

Description[]

Plant blooms from fall to winter with two to four 15 cm wide flowers.

Distribution[]

Plants are found growing on limestone cliffs, in soil or leaf litter in Yunnan, Chinghsi, Guangxi provinces of China, and Northern Vietnam at elevations of 460 to 1060 meters. The area is to fog in the winter and spring, heavy rains in the summer, and a moderate amount of rain during the winter.

Culture[]

Plant should be grown in areas with bright light and intermediate temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite or sphagnum moss. Water regularly about every four to five days. To induce blooming, reduce watering and lower temperatures in the winter.
