Paphiopedilum victoria-mariae is a species of Paphiopedilum found in Asia.

Description[]

Plant blooms in the spring with four 8 to 9 cm wide flowers that continually grows throughout the year.

Distribution[]

Plants are found growing in harden magma cliffs and near leaf humus in Sumatra, Indonesia at elevations around 1980 meters. The area is subjected to heavy rain in the winter to spring and frequent rain during summer to fall.

Culture[]

Plant should be grown in areas with moderately light and intermediate temperatures. Pot in medium fir bark and perlite.Keep plant in a fresh potting medium and change it before it decays. Provide high humidity. To induce blooming briefly reduce watering in the winter. Plant is difficult to grow over long periods of time.
