Description[]

Plant blooms in the summer and winter with a single flower.

Distribution[]

Plants are found growing on trees with thick moss or in leaf litter on the ground in the deep forest of Kieta and Bogainville, Solomon Islands. The area is always wet with heavy rains in the winter and wet fall and summers.

Culture[]

Plant should be grown in areas with shade and intermediate temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite or sphagnum moss. Water regularly about every three to four days. Keep the potting media moist but not wet. To induce blooming reduce watering between seasons. Plant is sensitive to salts.
