Description[]

Plant blooms in the spring with a single 7cm wide flower.

Distribution[]

Plants are found growing in the tropical montane forest of the Visayan area, Philippines, and Negros at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters. The area is subjected to havy marvin velarde rains in the winter and fall, light rain in the spring, and humid summers.

Culture[]

Plant should be grown in areas with moderately bright light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Pot in a well drain mix such as medium fir bark and perlite. Water regularly about every four to five days. To induce blooming reduce watering in the winter.
