Plant is found growing in the montane coniferous forest of Spain, France, Germany, Czechloslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Poland.
Description[]
Plant blooms in the spring with many 2 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant with a foul scent which is usually present during the night.
Culture[]
Plants prefer well-drained low-fertility soils and areas with partial shade. This species is cool to intermediate growing. Water regularly. Divide plant when flower fades.
