Miltoniopsis phalaenopsis is an epiphytic orchid from the genus Miltoniopsis.

Description[]

Plant blooms from late spring to early summer with three to five 5 to 5.75 cm fragrant flowers.

Distribution[]

Plant is found in the humid forest of Antioquia state of Colombia at elevations of 1200 to 1500 meters.

Culture[]

Plants are grown in moderate light with intermediate to warm temperatures. They require a humidity range of 50 to 90%. During hot summers water the plant daily. As winter approaches, keep the plant media moist but not damp. In the winter reduce watering but do not let the mix dryout. Pot the plant in a well drain mix such as fine fir bark with perlite.
