Lepanthes is a large genus of orchids with about 700 species. The genus is abbreviated in horticultural trade as Lths.

This genus is distributed in the Antilles island and from Mexico through Bolivia with several species in Brazil.
Description[]
Plants usually have a small flower on a single leaf. Flowers are usually successive and have a specific lip.
Culture[]
Keep plants in a moist mix of fine bark or sphagnum moss. Do not let mix dry. Plants should watered regularly. Plants require cool to warm temperatures, depending on the species and shade.
Naming[]
The name is derived from the Greek word for "scaled-flower". It is also commonly known as the Babyboot Orchid
