Description[]
Plants bloom at anytime with a single successive 1.2 cm wide flower.
Distribution[]
Plants are found in the montane forest of Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia at elevations of 1600 to 2400 meters.
Culture[]
Plants are grown in medium light with cold to cool temperatures. Use a mix of 75% fine fir bark with 25% perlite or use tree fern fibers and sphagnum moss. Water regularly during growing period. Watering should be done when potting mix just begins to dry. Plants prefer high humidity. They need a two to three week dry rest in the late winter. Resume water and fertilizer when new growth and the new inflorescence.
