The plant of this genus are found growing on canopy trees in Madagascar.
Description[]
Plants has large gray green leaves and conspicuous pseudobulbs. The inflorescence arises from the base of the pseudobulb along with new leaves.
Culture[]
The plant requires intermediate temperatures and bright light. Plant can be potted in coarse bark in a clay pot or mounted. Plant likes high humidity. Water regularly and reduce watering during the winter. Plants do not like the potting media disturbed.
Naming[]
The name is derived from the greek words Gramma which means Letter and the word angos which means vessel.
