Gongora aceras is an orchid species found in Central America.

Distribution

Plants are found in the wet montane forest of Colombia and western Ecuador at elevations of 200 to 1000 meters

Description

Plant blooms from summer to fall with several 3.5 cm wide flowers.

Culture

Plants are usually grown in wooden baskets in partial shade. Use a well drain potting media such as medium fir bark with perlite, tree fern fibers, or sphagnum moss. Keep area humid and grow in warm temperatures. Keep mix moist but not dry.
